Some people believe in superstition
and practice their daily life following do’s
and dont’s. Some people just disregard
those superstitions and do whatever they
wanted to. Some even never heard of any
superstition. Well..., in the old days,
superstitions were created with reason,
usually good reason for their children.
Usually, children tend to disobey their
parents, so the parents will make up stories
so that the children will follow their advice
and this traditions go on and on through
generations.
From around the world,
I’ll find the most interesting
and unique superstitions
and compile it here. So
keep looking....
Russ ia - Newborn
Baby:
Don’t show your
newborn baby to strangers
until after forty days. They
are waiting for their soul to
arrive and they may take
on another’s soul or energy
during that time.
Iceland - Winter
Knitting:
In late winter it is
forbidden to knit on the
doorstep, as that is known
to lengthen the winter.
Niger ia - Broom:
In
Nigeria, a man hit with a
broom becomes impotent
unless he retaliates seven
times with the same
broom.
Ukraine - Pregnancy:
To avoid
bad luck. One should not prepare a
room for a baby, and buy cloth during
pregnancy. The baby should be born
first.
Phi l l ippines - Vi s i t ing the dead:
When you pay a visit to a dead person,
usually at their family home, and then
going back after that. Never go back
straight to your home, it is believed that
the spirit of the death will follow
you and stay at your home.
So...on the way home, go to
some place else, either resting or
eating out before reaching home,
so that the spirit will be left there.
Taiwan - Wedding:
I f a
woman serves as a bridesmaid
more than twice, she will have
bad luck.
Chi l e - New Year ’ s
Luck:
You must eat lentils
immediately after New Year ’s
eve if you want the upcoming
year to be a lucky one!
Japan - Un l ucky
Numbers:
Number 4 is
pronounced as
shi
in Japanese,
which means “death.’’ Number
9 is pronounced as
ku
in
Japanese, which means “pain”.
These two numbers considered
as unlucky. Hospitals usually
have neither 4th nor 9th floors.

Tenho pensado muito na forma
como as pessoas tem se relacionado
hoje e o quanto estão distantes de um
romantismo puro e saudável.
Não sei se é porque estou vivendo
uma fase de solteirice incondicional,
mas o amor é para a humanidade algo
que ultrapassa o essencial, e às vezes,
ou quase que todos os dias, as
indagações referentes a ele batem na
porta principal da cabeça tentando
buscar soluções para resolver esse
“problema”.
As redes
sociais e a internet parecem que no
sentido de ajudar cumpriram parte do
seu papel, mas também se aliaram à
palavra distância num contraponto
absurdo ao seu objetivo que era
exatamente encurtar esse caminho.
Cada vez mais as pessoas se curtem
virtualmente, compartilham experiências,
têm necessidades sexuais resolvidas
pela tão “amorosa” tela virtual.
Será que sou o último dos
românticos? Daquele que ainda quer
sentir o ”frio na barriga”, a
simplicidade da palavra, a música que
diz tudo (pelo amor de Deus eu
disse m-ú-s-i-c-a), as horas que
não passam para um abraço,
um beijo, um sorriso bobo.
É assim que sei amar. Com
as palavras, com a força
infinita de querer estar junto na medida
certa, com a vontade de olhar nos olhos
para dizer que ama, para chorar e
deixar a emoção ser sempre maior que
a razão no quesito amor.
A minha solteirice que “passa pelas
pessoas” é uma opção de momento. Eu
ainda acredito na falta de ar que você
vai me causar, no nervosismo
exacerbado ao te ver, no batimento
descontrolado ao te abraçar, nas horas
em que o tempo irá parar quando com
você eu estiver.
Não é raro, mas será assim: na
poesia simples do dia, no café da
manhã juntos, no pôr do sol que passa
pela cidade quase desapercebido, mas
que para nós significará muito.
É assim que eu espero você – com
meu computador desligado. Tudo real .
